BADAL, SUKHBIR AND MAJITHIA MOURNS DEATH OF ALBERTA SIKH LEADER MANMEET SINGH BHULLAR

The Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and Revenue and Public Relations Minister B.S. Majithia expresses " shock and grief over the tragic demise of Alberta Sikh leader and minister Sardar Manmeet Singh Bhullar. Bhullar who died in a car crash this morning .In his   condolence message to Bhullar's wife Namrita, the Chief Minister  described  Manmeet Singh as "one of Punjab's most beloved sons who brought glory and honour not only to the brave Sikh community but also to Punjab and India. "Please don't feel  as if you are alone in this hour of acute and unbearable pain. Every Punjabi and every Indian, apart from millions of people of Canada and North America, stands by you in this most difficult and trying hour. Mr. Badal prayed to the Akal Purakh  to grant peace to the departed soul . and strength to the family and friends to bear this huge blow with courage and equanimity. In his condolence message, Sukhbir Singh Badal  said in his short lifespan of 35 years, Mr. Bhullar made exceptional contribution for the welfare of Punjabi diaspora and gave ample proof of being a selfless politician while rendering services in the social sector. Deputy CM also reminisced the moments spent with Mr. Bhullar during NRI summit held at Jalandhar over 2 years ago. S. Badal said Mr. Bhullar became the legislator for the first time in 2008 and he was the youngest one at that time. Deputy Chief Minister further said that it was because of progressive thinking and upright virtues Mr. Bhullar was inducted as cabinet minister in Alberta provincial government. Remembering the yeoman’s service rendered by Mr. Bhullar, S. Badal said the death of Mr. Bhullar is a personal loss for him and it has deprived the Sikh community of an emerging political leader of the highest caliber.  Expressing sympathy with the bereaved Bhullar family, S. Badal prayed before the almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul. Describing Mr. Bhullar’s death an irreparable loss, Mr. Majithia said that his glorious achievements would act as an inspiration to the youth all around the globe. The Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
