The Sukhna Rowing course which is a 2 km 5 lane international rowing course which has witnessed many National and Asian rowing championships and the course in which many players after practicing have won laurels for the country and for Chandigarh with a finishing tower at the Iceland which was destroyed in massive fire are now being neglected by the administration and are in a very bad shape. The 2 km international standard rowing course is closed at one km due to growth of wild bushes thus hampering the rowers to use the full length 2km course for practice. The Iceland presents a deserted look with wild bushes and grass and danger of snakes and without rowing finishing tower.
