Bollywood has glamorized Indian festivals and given them a new meaning altogether. In fact they have made them more mainstream and even inspiration for theme parties and fashion extravaganzas. Karwa Chauth is one such day that has got significance and all thanks to films like DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge) and Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham.

 

 Red colour themed couture, decorated thalis, some music, dance and the auspicious moon, all come together to mark this day when women fast for the long life and wellbeing of their better halves. And it is celebrated in a grand way in the Tricity every year, and all credits to Shipra Goyal and her pre-Karwachauth bash (Bollywood Karwachauth).

Shipra Goyal, a social activist, entrepreneur and mother of two ,hosts a jam-packed party for the ladies of the tricity every year. This pre-Karwachauth celebration called ‘Bollywood Karwachauth Season 3’ was held at KLG Starlite.

The third season of the bash was organized and managed to the -T by Shipra’s own venture ‘Big Day Events Co’ Needless to say; the party was attended by the who’s who of the tricity and was a big success.

Talking about the same, Shipra Goyal told, “I started this celebration so that the women, who are mostly busy with the chores all day long, get a chance to relax and enjoy before the festival and fast of Karwachauth. Bollywood Karwachauth Bash is an evening when they can really let themselves loose, put their hair down, play their favourite games and basically, just live in the moment.

 

We have organized the bash two years consecutively, this was the third season and it was the warmest evening ever. Beautiful people in their best attires, the perfect ambience to talk and rejuvenate the friendships and love and scrumptious food to fill tummies before a long fasting day, our pre-Karwachauth bash has become synonymous to this and more. This year around, it has been an evening filled with bondings, laughter and entertainment. I am glad that I could give my lady friends an evening they’ll probably remember for the days to come.” Bollywood Karwachauth Bash is our attempt to thank every woman and give them an evening to themselves. An evening filled with so much of beauty, selflessness, some great bonds, unabashed laughter and an eternity of love. And that too with a theme probably every woman loves, Bollywood.
