Chandigarh Volleyball Association organized 45th Junior National Volley Ball Championship at Panjab University Chandigarh. BJP Chandigarh State President Sanjay Tandon was invited as chief guest on 2nd day of the tournament.
Former Mayor Kamla Sharma was also invited as special guest along with Chandigarh BJP Media in-charge Ravinder Pathania and other BJP members including BJP Yuva Morcha President and State Secretary Narender Lubana, Arundeep Singh and Boparai. Vice President of Chandigarh Volley Ball Association Brijeshwar Jaswal and organization Secretary Vijay Pal received the welcomed the guest to the venue.
Jaswal informed that teams from all across the nation are competing in this tournament. He said, 56 teams consisting of almost 800 players are participating in the tournament. On the second day, 72 matches were played between various participating teams.
Sanjay Tandon met women players of Delhi and Kerala teams along with men players from Gujarat and Kerala Teams and congratulated them on their performance in the tournament.
Sanjay later addressed the audience and said that there is not dearth of talent in our country. He said, we need to encourage our youth towards sports which will not only keep them healthy and fit but they can add to the prestige of the country by their performance in international sporting events too. He congratulated all office bearers of Chandigarh Volley Ball Association for holding such a well-organized tournament.
