After Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has rolled out the country’s policy for drones, drones are ready to take over the Indian skies. Catching up the drone race, Chandigarh based startup- JungleWorks (Brand of Click Labs Pvt Ltd) is launching its Drone delivery platform “TIDA” at TiECON Chandigarh 2019 on 16th February 2019 at Indian School of Business, Mohali. TiECON Chandigarh 2019 shall have a 1-day conference, exposition, startup awards, live pitching, networking & more.

JungleWorks will demonstrate the delivery of the parcels/food in the premises of ISB through the drone. The drone is based on a quadcopter design with four motors and is capable of transporting up to 500 grams of weight by air at the rate of 15 meters per second. The drone is fully automated and integrated with Tookan- delivery Management Platform. With Tookan, pickups & deliveries get auto assigned and it also provides delivery tracking to monitor the drone in real-time. JungleWorks has also partnered in Singapore with Wilhelmsen for their Agency-By-Air project as technology partners for delivery management wherein parcels are delivered from shore to ship using Airbus drones at Singapore's Marina South Pier.

As per the report of  Goldman Sachs, drone industry has the potential to reach a market value of 100 billion USD by 2020 and that’s huge. Keeping military share aside, commercial businesses will acquire somewhere around 13 percent of the total share. Business giants of global e-commerce and logistics industry have already started experimenting with the Drone technology. JungleWorks is focusing on the automation of logistics with drone technology and providing a better fulfillment experience by offering efficient and fast deliveries to its customers.

“We are constantly working towards achieving our mission and strengthen our technological leadership position. However, we still need to make some technical adjustments to completely achieve a smooth flight before our delivery drone can be finally integrated into the logistics process. Safety is one such top priority when transporting goods by drone. The safety features of our drones are under development and we will soon disclose them. We are making sure that our drone complies with all the rules and regulations of Digital Sky Platform.” said Samar Singla- Founder of JungleWorks.

Emerging Business can grow beyond expectations if they have a proper transportation infrastructure to deliver their services. Biggest challenge for logistics is infrastructure clogging and costs. Drones can provide speedy delivery and circumvent road infrastructure of ever-crowded cities of the world. Drones are here to stay as is highlighted by various pilots going on around the world.  All the parties - drone manufacturers, governments and logistics companies - understand this and are working towards overcoming challenges involved.
