  Miss India Worldwide Shree Saini, lovingly called “daughter of Punjab” has extended support to Preeti Shridhar, 55, candidate for the Port of Seattle Commission, position 2.

This seat currently is held by Commissioner Courtney Gregoire, who will not run for re-election.

Preeti came in 1986 to Minnesota to study and since then migrated. She has lived in New York and then Seattle.

She brings 27 years of experience working with King County cities, businesses, and community organizations, notably with the City of Seattle. She currently works for the City of Renton and, over the last 14 years, has helped the city achieve significant growth, economic development, and recognition as one of the region’s leading cities.

She also helped to launch the City of Seattle’s Climate Protection Initiative and introduced the City’s recycling and water conservation programs.

Preeti vows to make Port of Seattle world leader in maritime and aviation Port Commission candidate promises to grow jobs and build an inclusive economy.

She brings years of experience and a commitment to create opportunity, build an inclusive economy, and protect our natural environment.

“I will deliver on the promise of being the most competitive Port globally and grow our job-generating maritime business, and thriving tourism industry. I will work to boost our local economy, protect our workers, and create career pathways for our youth, she said.

She currently works for the City of Renton and has helped the city achieve significant growth, economic development, and recognition as one of the region’s leading cities. She has reached out to immigrant communities and other residents to make sure they have the services they need. Shridhar also helped to launch the City of Seattle’s Climate Protection Initiative and introduced the City’s recycling and water conservation programs.

“I have served the people of King County for more than a dozen years and I bring an unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability,” Preeti said. “I will honor the people’s trust and confidence in me.”
