ANNUAL WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS GALA ON MAY 17, JASON ROBINS TO BE CHIEF GUEST

INDIA New England News announced that Jason Robins, CEO of DraftKings, a Boston-based global sports technology and entertainment company, will be the Chief Guest and keynote speaker at the 17th Annual Woman of the Year Awards Gala on May 17 at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.

 “We are honored that Mr. Robins has kindly accepted our invitation to be the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker at the Woman of the Year Awards Gala on May 17,” said Upendra Mishra, publisher of INDIA New England News and its sister publications, IndUS Business Journal and Boston Real Estate Times. “We are looking forward to honoring 20 outstanding women from various fields at the gala and we are pleased that someone of Mr. Robins’ caliber will be there to share the stage with them.”

Mr. Robins’ work has been recognized by the media and his peers, both nationally and in Boston. Recognition includes: Fortune’s 2015 “40 Under 40” list of the most influential people in business, appearing on that issue’s cover, Sports Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” Boston Business Journal’s “Power 50: Game Changers,” and “40 Under 40,” among others.

Since co-founding DraftKings in 2012, Robins has overseen the company’s rapid growth and expansion. Under his leadership, DraftKings has become the number one daily fantasy sports company globally, expanded internationally and recently launched a sports betting product that is operating in New Jersey and Mississippi.

Mr. Robins attended Duke University, where he received his degree in Economics and Computer Science.

In addition to honoring 20 outstanding women on May 17, the Woman of the Year Awards gala, which is produced and organized annually by INDIA New England News, will also honor Tara Anand with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Ms. Anand is one of the top Indian-American musicians and teachers, whose students have been winning numerous awards every year at the prestigious Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana music festival since the 1990s.
