Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 18 emerged winners in the Chandigarh State Sub Junior Women Hockey Championship at the Sector 42 Hockey Stadium here. In the title clash, they blanked Government Model High School, Sector 25 by 6-0.

The star performer for the winners was Rakhi who pumped in five goals, including a hat-trick, out of six as GGMSS-18 dominated the proceedings throughout the match. Rakshi opened and team's account in the fourth minute through a field goal and continued her dominance as in the next minute she scored another field goal as GGMSSS-18 led 2-0 in a span of five minute.

Priyanka made it 3-0 in the ninth minute. Thereafter Rakhi banged home three more field goals in the 14th, 18th and 28th minutes to romp of her team's 6-0 triumph.

Earlier, Government Model High School, Sector 42 routed Rock Rovers by 5-0 for the third position. Bhawana (14th, 16th, 20th) scored hat-trick and Aarti produced a brace by scoring in the third and 10th minutes as GMHS-42 emerged winnners in the classification match for third and fourth positions.Chandigarh Sports Director Tejdeep  Singh Saini distributed the prizes.
