Haryana Government has decided to increase the honorarium payable to the Inquiry Officers from Rs 9750 to Rs 12000 per enquiry plus Rs 1500 for every additional charged officer in same enquiry. Apart from this, they will also be provided Secretarial Assistance by the department concerned.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Vigilance Department said that a letter has been written to all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Commissioners, Ambala, Hisar, Rohtak, Gurugram, Karnal and Faridabad Divisions, the Managing Directors, Chief Administrators of Boards, Corporations and Public Undertakings and the Registrars of all the Universities.

He said that in case the inquiry officer does not avail the assistance from their department, then a Secretarial Assistance of Rs 3000 would be granted to the Inquiry Officer. The Inquiry Officer would not be entrusted more than 20 inquiries annually. If more than 20 inquiries have been assigned by different departments, the inquiry officer would inform to Inquiry Officer, Vigilance and Vigilance Department of the same.

He said that the information of entrusting of inquiries to Inquiry Officer would be maintained by the office of Inquiry Officer, Vigilance and consolidated information regarding allotment of inquiries would be sent to Vigilance Department every six months. These orders would take effect from the date of issue and would not apply to the departmental inquiries currently in progress.
