The Chandigarh Junior state rowing championship concluded here on Wednesday at Sukhna lake.
In Boys Single scull event of 1 km race Savinay Singh clinched Gold by clocking 4:48:00 followed by Sudarshan with a timing of 05:00:63 and bronze goes to Varun Antil with a timing of 5:26:95 Mohit bhadu stood 4th there were 8 Paticipants in the race.
In Girls single scull Varnika Sihag came first with a timing of 05:40;51 followed by Poornima Dua who stood second with a timing of 07:49:68
In double scull event pair of Savinay and Rajat clocked first position with a timing of 04:1077 Sudarshan and Varun Antil came second with a timing of 4:21:57 where as pair of Gurdarshan amd Sanjay Kumar stood third clocking 4:27:57
Selected rowers will represent Chandigarh in 40th Junior National rowing championship to be held at Bhopal from 11th to 16th October. President of Chandigarh rowing Association Dr. Anmol Rattan Sidhu Senioir advocate gave away the prizes.
