CHANDIGARH POLICE NABBED TWO ACCUSED STEELING VEHICLES, REMANDEDED TO POLICE CUSTODY

Keeping in view the spurt in incidence of snatching and vehicle theft cases, senior officers has issued special directions and instructions to curb and detect this crime. Working on the directions of the senior officers, on 19.10.2019, acting on secret information a team of Police Station-34 Chandigarh working under close supervision of

Insp. Baldev Kumar SHO-34, achieved a major success. A team led by SI Om Parkash I/C Police Post Burail, along with other officials of PP Burail laid down naka near Sector-45 CD Chandigarh.

During Naka Duty two suspects namely Rahul Chauhan S/o Kailash Chauhan R/o House No. 1111 Village Burail Chandigarh Age 24 Years & Dinesh S/o Karamvir R/o # 1111 Village Burail Chandigarh Age 21 years riding on Motor Cycle No. CH01BU-5476 was apprehended at Naka. The vehicle was stolen from Burail on 25.9.2019 and case has been already registered at Police Station-34 Chandigarh. 

During interrogation of the accused the following cases of auto lifting & property crime have been worked out. The detail of cases worked out and property recovered is as follows.

*Case FIR No. 243 dated 25.9.2019 U/S 379 IPC PS-34 Chandigarh, Motor Cycle No. CH01BU-5476 has been recovered,
*Case FIR No. 150 dated 23.4.2018 U//s 379 IPC PS-34 Chandigarh, Honda Activa No. CH01BF871 has been recovered.
*Case FIR No. 309 dated 3.9.2018 U/s 379 IPC PS-34 Chandigarh, One OPPO Smart Phone has been recovered.
*Case FIR No. 138 dated 13.7.2019 U/s 379 IPC PS-11 Chandigarh, Motor Cycle No.CH03Q-6242 has been recovered.

Besides this One without number Honda Splendor Motor Cycle and Honda Activa No. PB-65Q-9096 also recovered on the identification of the accused Both the accused are in police custody and more recoveries to be effected from them.
