BSF TROOPS SEIZED 1.5 KG HEROIN FROM INDO PAK BORDER IN FEROZEPORE SECTOR

 Border Security Force (BSF) troops reportedly seized three plastic bottles filled with contraband heroin in the area of responsibility of Border Out Post- Satpal, Ex- 136Bn BSF, Ferozepur Sector on Tuesday. The contraband valuing about 8 crores in international market.

BSF Punjab Frontier spokesman said on Tuesday during night hours, vigilant BSF troops of Border Out Post- Satpal,Ex- 136 Bn BSF, Ferozepur Sector, noticed some suspicious sound and became alert.

However, no movement could be observed due to darkness. Hence, to stop the misadventure of smugglers BSF troops opened fire but suspected smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of darkness and fully grown paddy crops. Later, during search 03 plastic bottles filled with contraband (Weight approx-1.05 Kgs) suspected to be heroin recovered from the spot.

 The enhanced vigil of BSF has once again thwarted the attempt of Anti-National Elements to push the Consignment of Contraband items into India. During the year 2019, BSF has seiiized 180 KG. heroin worth billing of rupees in international market.
