Haryana Day was celebrated with utmost enthusiasm and zeal at Haryana Raj Bhavan, here today. The function was inaugurated by Haryana Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya and the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal by lighting a traditional lamp. The Punjab Governor, Mr V.P. Badnore and Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Dushyant Chautala were also present on the occasion.

While extended warm greetings to the people of the state, Haryana Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya said that now the state has undertaken unprecedented development in every area and it is among the developed states of the country. He appealed to the people of the state to take a pledge to further making Haryana the most developed state equipped with all the modern facilities.

The artists kept the audience spellbound with their performances and the Governor announced to give Rs five lakh to artists for their performance in the function.

Those present on the occasion included MLAs Banwari Lal, Mr Gian Chand Gupta and Mr Ishwar Singh Mehra, Chief Secretary, Mrs Keshni Anand Arora, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary, Art and Cultural Affairs Department, Mrs Dheera Khandelwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Mr P.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Mr Dhanpat Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Mr Vijay Vardhan, Additional Chief Secretary, Mr P.K. Mahapatra, former Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr D.S. Dhesi, Secretary to Haryana Governor, Mr Vijay Singh Dahiya, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages, Mr Sameer Pal Srow and other senior officers of various departments and dignitaries.
