OVER 1500 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE AWARENESS & OUTREACH CAMPAIGN ORGANIZED ON THE OCCASION OF CONSTITUTION DAY

CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATED AT SACRED HEART SCHOOL CHANDIGARH

Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India by the constituent assembly on 26th November, 2019, an awareness & outreach campaign was launched today byRegional Outreach Bureau Chandigarh, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. The focus of the campaign is to sensitise students about the various principles, noble ideals and Fundamental duties enshrined in our constitution. 

 
 
As part of this campaign, an outreach programme was organized at Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh today where in approximately 300 students participated in the painting & quiz competition.  The students actively participated in our programmes and shared their views on the significance of Constitution in strengthening of our democracy.Krishvika, Sara &Kavleen Kaur bagged the first, second and third positions in the painting competition. 

Similarly, awareness and outreach programmes were organized by Field Outreach Bureaus at Narnaul, Hamirpur, Shimla & Amritsar. Over 1500 students across the region participated in our outreach programmes. As part of the constitution day celebrations, special Preamble reading session was organized in all the programmes. A quiz competition on the Constitution, its history and making also engaged the students 

Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated every year on 26th November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honour and pay tribute to the invaluable contribution of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and other founding fathers of the Constitution
