CHANDIGARH POLICE NABBED VEHICLE LIFTERS, FOUR RECOVERED

    In a major breakthrough the team of Police Station 39, Chandigarh under the supervision of Inspector Amanjot Singh, SHO/PS 39, is able to arrest one person who is involved in recent vehicle lifting from Chandigarh. The accused identified as Ravi Thakur S/o Late Thakur Bahadur Singh R/o # 3001/1, Sector 41/D, Chandigarh age 32 yrs.

On Dec.10 secret information was received that, the above said accused person was involved in several cases of vehicle lifting and presently roaming in Sector 41, Chandigarh. On the bases of this information, Naka was laid and said accused arrested from turn Sector 41/CD and stolen Activa was recovered from his possession. Total 04 cases of vehicle theft have been Worked Out. 

Police said, accused use to steal vehicle by breaking their handle lock and further selling these vehicles to different customers. Firstly, he demand 75% money and remaining money he will ask after the clearance of NOC, but he never provided NOC to the customers. This is one of his way to sell vehicle to the customer by taking them in confidence. He is a habitual drunker and to fulfill his desire of alcohol, he use to steal vehicles.

Previous History of the accused:- Case FIR No. 291 dt 15.07.15 U/S 68-1-14 Ex. Act, PS 39, Chandigarh found registered against Ravi Thakur S/o Late Thakur Bahadur Singh R/o # 3001/1, Sector 41/D, Chandigarh age 32 yrs and he has been convicted in this case.
