BSF SEIZES TWO KG. HEROIN AND ONE PISTOL WITH CARTRIDGES ON INDO PAK BORDER IN FEROZEPORE AND AMRITSAR SECTORS

Border Security Force (BSF) on Punjab Border reported to have seized two kg. contraband heroin valuing ten crores in international market  from Ferozepore Sector and recovered one Pistol with live cartridges in Amritsar Sector.

BSF spokesman from Punjab Frontier BSF Headquarter on Saturday said, BSF troops seized four packets weighing two kg. heroin from the area of responsibility of Ferozepur Sector.

Spokesman further said, BSF troops on duty heard suspicious sound near Border Security Fence and got alerted. Thereafter, BSF troops promptly rushed towards the spot but nothing could be observed. To negate the misadventure of Pak smugglers/ANEs

Border Security Force troops challenged the suspects but suspected smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of dense fog. Later, during search 04 packets of contraband suspected to be Heroin (Total weight approx. 02 Kg) were recovered from the spot.  

On the other side on Saturday morning Border Security Force troops recovered 01 Pistol with 01 Magazine and 07 Live Rounds in the area of responsibility of Amritsar Sector.

On Saturday at about 0930 hrs. While patrolling BSF troops noticed suspicious movement near Border Security Fence but due to dense fog nothing could be observed. When BSF troops took position and sounded alert, suspects retreated taking advantage of dense fog. Later, during search of area party recovered 01 Pistol with 01 Magazine and 07 Live Rounds from the spot.

Vigilant troops of Border Security Force once again thwarted the attempt of Anti-National Elements to push the consignment of contraband items into India.
