FINAL OF SIKH FOOTBALL CUP TO BE HELD ON FEB. 9 AT CHANDIGARH

Closing ceremony and final match of historic 1st Sikh Football Cup will be held at football stadium, Sector 42, Chandigarh on February 8 at 11 am.

Disclosing this here today Khalsa FC President Harjeet Singh Grewal said this football cup is being organized by the Khalsa Football Club (Khalsa FC) in collaboration with the Global Sikh Sports Federation in Punjab.

"During the final event football teams of Khalsa FC Gurdaspur and Khalsa FC Jalandhar would lock horns for the top award. Gatka players would also demonstrate skills of Sikh martial art", he added.

He added that total 23 participating teams from all districts of Punjab and Chandigarh have played their matches on knockout matches as per the norms of FIFA. During the weeklong competition, Khalsa FC Barnala and Khalsa FC Rupnagar have been declared as bracketed winner for third position.
