Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday directed the Home Department to examine the feasibility of relocating the office of Ghanour Police Station from its existing location, in close vicinity of the bus stand, to a more open and spacious place.

Responding to a question raised by MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur, during the first day of the Budget Session here today, the Chief Minister said the proposal of mutually exchanging building space of police station with MC office was workable and his government would look into it.

The area of both the offices is the same, the Chief Minister said, assuring the House of early resolution of the matter.

Pertinently, the building of Police Station Ghanour was constructed in the year 2005.
