An Inter-College Cricket tournament (Men) was organised by the Sports department of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) Bathinda at Campus.

Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology (BFCET), Deon (Bathinda) team won the title by defeating host MRSPTU campus by 67 runs. While Punjab Institute of Technology (PIT), Rajpura secured third place after defeating PIT, Moga by 7 wickets.

In first match BFCET, Bathinda defeated PIT, Rajpura by 46 runs. Whereas in second match MRSPTU campus team defeated PIT, Moga by 49 runs .

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar in the presence of Registrar, Dr, Asish Baldi Director, Sports and Youth Welfare, Bhupinderpal Singh Dhot and other dignitaries. Prof. Ishar congratulated the participants and also appreciated the efforts of the sports department of the University.

MRSPTU, Dean Research and Development, Prof. (Dr.) Jasbir Singh Hundal was Chief guest for the prize distribution ceremony. Prominent among others present on the occasion include Dean, Student Welfare, Prof. Parmjit Singh, Director Sports & Youth welfare Prof. Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot Er. Sikander Singh Sidhu and Sukhwinder Singh.
