HARYANA POLICE SETS UP A SYSTEM FOR SMOOTH SUPPLY OF ESSENTIAL GOODS AND SERVICES

Haryana Police has setup a system to facilitate the movement of essential good and also those persons associated with delivery of essential goods and services during the COVID-19 lockdown in the State.

Giving this information here today, Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Sh. Navdeep Singh Virk said that three DSPs have been specially deployed at the integrated “State COVID-19 Control Room” of the State Government set up at Panchkula who will assist matters relating to problems faced by the general public with police in movement of essential goods, vehicles and manpower across the state in view of the lockdown. All three DSPs will work under the overall supervision of a DIG rank officer.

In case, the people associated with essential goods and services were facing any problem, then they could call the State helpline number 8558893911 which is a common helpline and they can also get police help as per the lockdown instructions of the government, added Mr Virk.In addition, all the CPs and District SPs were directed to allow movement of essential goods and services including delivery boys of various eCommerce portals like Amazon, Flipkart, Groffers, BigBasket, Zomato, Swiggy and those engaged in homecare treatment of patients during the lockdown period in the State.

  

In case, the people associated with essential goods and services were facing any problem, then they could call the State helpline number 8558893911 which is a common helpline and they can also get police help as per the lockdown instructions of the government, added Mr Virk.

In addition, all the CPs and District SPs were directed to allow movement of essential goods and services including delivery boys of various eCommerce portals like Amazon, Flipkart, Groffers, BigBasket, Zomato, Swiggy and those engaged in homecare treatment of patients during the lockdown period in the State.

Mr Virk made it clear that the government had put restrictions on movement of public rather the movement of essential goods and services during the lockdown period to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. He also urged the people to stay at home during the lockdown period for their safety and the safety of their loved ones.
