Additional Chief Secretary Health R.D. Dhiman said here today that new samples of 127 persons had been taken for investigation today, out of which 87 samples were reported negative and reports of 40 others still awaited. He said that three COVID-19 persons admitted in IGMC Shimla brought from Solan district, were tested again today and reported negative.

Besides this, three other persons admitted in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College Tanda Hospital from Una district, were tested again today out of which one person has been reported negative, whereas the reports of other two persons are yet awaited.

Additional Chief Secretary said that till date samples of 900 persons have been tested for COVID-19, out of which reports of 832 persons were found negative. He said that so far reports of 28 persons have been found positive in the State, out of which two persons have recovered and discharged, four have gone for treatment outside the state and one person has died. He said the state today has 21 active cases of COVID-19.

He said that 5200 persons had been kept under surveillance for coronavirus in the State so far out of which 2785 persons completed 28 days of surveillance period. He said that through Active Case Finding Campaign (ACFC) till date about 65 lakh persons were enquired about their health.
