AMAAL MALLIK TELLS ALL ON MX PLAYER’S TIMES OF MUSIC

Mumbai (Face2News)

Amaal Mallik has given us some memorable and blockbuster hit songs that include Sooraj Dooba Hai to Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon amongst many others in his repertoire. But on MX Player’s Times of Music, the young music composer opens up about how his family reacted to his initial tunes.

Sharing this fun story on the chat show, Amaal Mallik said, “I still don’t understand why my dad doesn’t believe that I have created this song. He still tells me - how can you make ‘Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon’, you’re not mature enough, it’s not possible, you’ve copied it from somewhere. He’s asked me to open the Shazam app to check for himself, we opened the app and it said “Not Found”. He was surprised and said I never knew that you are such a good composer.

Well this is not the only story he spoke about, he also told us how Anu Mallik called him and complimented his work, whilechallenging him to making better songs!

Narrating this story Amaal Mallik while laughing says, “And on the other side you have the aggressive, crazy, mad Anu uncle. When I made Sooraj Dooba Hai and after that I did Hero and 2-3 more songs, he called me and said something completely different. His words were - "Beta bohot accha music kar rahe ho but mein tumse better music karne wala hu yeh saal". He told me that I was doing well, mirroring what his dad used to create. He went on to say, Sooraj Dooba Hai is a good song but I am going to beat you. But that shows there is still fire and madness, that he can go up to a young composer and say that I’ll make better music”

Episode 8 of Times of Music will see Amaal Mallik rearrange Shantanu Moitra’s Give Me Some Sunshine from the film 3 Idiots and Shantanu Moitra will be seen recreating Amaal Mallik’s Sooraj Dooba Hain.
