BAIL PLEA OF FORMER MANIMAJRA SHO DISMISSED IN FIVE LACS BRIBERY CASE

The bail plea of Former Manimajra SHO Inspector Jaswinder Kaur dismissed on Friday. Inspector evading the arrest since middle man Bhagwan Singh was arrested taking bribe at the behest of Jaswinder Singh for settling down a case involving 28 lacs. Jaswinder Singh filed application after her middle man Bhagwan Singh was sent  to Judicial Custody after completion of CBI Remand. The court had asked CBI to file reply on the bail plea of Jaswinder Kaur.  

CBI pleaded in court that Jaswinder Kaur was repeadly asked to join the investigation, but she did not respond. The court finally rejected Jaswinder Kaur's anticipatory bail plea after hearing arguments from both sides. The CBI also produced recording of middleman with Jaswinder Kaur to the court.   

In the bail plea, Jaswinder had argued that he had been implicated in the case, as officers of the police department who are engaged in trapping him in the case, because she is not attached to any lobby for any political purpose and argued that he had no role in the entire process. At the same time, he told how a complaint came to her through email on June 5, and after that the agreement between the two parties was reached on June 21. Five days later, the complainant reached the CBI with his complaint. He has misled everyone and implicated them by calling the settlement money as bribe money.

 She pleaded, on June 26, Manimajra resident Gurdeep Singh had complained to the CBI that on June 10 she called him to the police station. After which he was told that in the name of getting a government job to the wife of a person named Randhir Singh had cheated him of Rs 27-28 lakh and did not get job for his wife. Complainant claimed that Jaswinder Kaur   had demanded a bribe of Rs five lakh in lieu of not registering a case against him. Out of  five lakhs, the first installment was given by Gurdeep to middleman Bhagwan Singh in Sangrur, but when he was taking the second installment, Bhagwan Singh was caught by CBI anti corruption cell team on June 29.
