ABSCONDING INSPECTOR JASWINDER KAUR SURRENDERED BEFORE CBI COURT, REMANDED FOUR DAYS CUSTODY

Chandigarh Police Inspector and Former Manimajra Police station SHO Jaswinder Kaur on Saturday surrendered before Special CBI court and have been remanded for four days custody to CBI. She was recently booked by CBI anti corruption Cell  in a five lacs bribery case.  

Jaswinder Kaur arrived in the court accompanied by his lawyer and his son Speaking to the media there before reaching the court, she said that I have been framed under the conspiracy. There was a group behind her. She said that I belong to a special class which some people did not tolerate.

The court had twice issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Jaswinder Kaur. The PO process was started against her when she was not found in her houses in Zirakpur (Mohali) and Sector-22 Chandigarh. If Jaswinder Kaur had not appeared in the court by 29 July, she would have been declared proclaimed offender, but she surrendered today.

  She later reached the CBI court with her lawyer amidst CBT team. Jaswinder's lawyer argued that there was no concrete case against her nor did she take bribe nor caught anything in her house raid. The CBI argued that being a serious case, it is necessary to interrogate him and also make some recovery from her. The CBI sought 7-day remand from the court. After arguments, the court sent Jaswinder on Four days CBI remand.

However, advocate Taraminder Singh, appearing on behalf of Jaswinder Kaur, has filed a petition in the special CBI court, stating that the former SHO should undergo a medical examination along with a corona test. Along with that, give the court direction to the investigating officer that he should be allowed to meet Jaswinder Kaur, which the court accepted.

The court had twice issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Jaswinder Kaur. Her interim bail appliation was rejected by the CBI Court and as well as by Punjab and Haryana High Court. CBI had pleaded before the High Court that she is not joing investigations despite summoned several times and highcourt dismissed her bail application.  

Inspector was evading the arrest since middle man Bhagwan Singh was arrested taking bribe at the behest of Jaswinder Kaur for settling down a case involving 28 lacs. Jaswinder Singh filed application after her middle man Bhagwan Singh was sent  to Judicial Custody after completion of CBI Remand.  

In the bail plea, Jaswinder had argued that he had been implicated in the case. It is the officers of the police department who are engaged in trapping him in the case. Because she is not attached to any lobby for any political purpose. At the same time, he told how a complaint came to her through email on June 5, and after that the agreement between the two parties was reached on June 21. Five days later, the complainant reached the CBI with his complaint. He has misled everyone and implicated them by calling the settlement money as bribe money.  

Fiestly she had filed interim bail from Distt. Court, from her application was rejected. Later she applied for interim bail from Punjab and Haryana High Court, where she was not given any relief.

CBI after taking into custody CB took her  for medical examination. Later she was taken to CBI Headquarter at Sector 30 for interrogation.
