In the district today, 20 positive cases of Covid-19 have come to light and 15 patients have been cured. This information was provided by Civil Surgeon Mohali Dr.  Manjit Singh.He said that the new cases identified today include a man from Sector 97 to 40 years, a 20 year old woman from Kumbhra, a 68 year old woman from Sunny Enclave Kharar, a 55 year old man from Bhabat, a 17 year old boy from Kurali and a 33 year old man from Cholta Khurd, Zirakpur. 35 year old male from Sector 77 to 38 year old male, 68 to 36 year old male from Sector 68, two 25 year old male from Dera Bassi, 63 year old male from Pirmuchhala, 34 year old male from Mullanpur, 52 year old male from Badal Colony Zirakpur, 41 year old from Kharar Women, Phase 10 include 40 year old man from Mohali, 17, 33, 41, 52 year old man from Dera Bassi, 33 year old woman, 27 year old man from Siswan, 28 year old man from Dhakauli and 55 year old woman from Zirakpur. 

Among the cured patients are 23, 32, 53 year old man from Sunny Enclave Kharar, 48 year old man from Balongi, 48 year old man from Zirakpur, 4, 40 year old man from Dera Bassi, 20 year old man from Kharar, 27 year old man from Phase 1 Mohali. There are 20 and 40 year old women and 17 year old men from Kharar, 38 year old man and 29 year old woman from Sohana and 53 year old woman from Dera Bassi. 

The total number of cases registered in the district so far is 822. The number of active cases is 312, the number of cured patients is 496 and 14 patients have died.

In an other information two more cases of corona virus infection have been reported in Tira and Siswan villages under Primary Health Center (PHC) Boothgarh. Senior Medical Officer Dr. Dilbagh Singh said that the 17-year-old, who came positive, lives with his family in village Tira and works in a shop in Sector 22, Chandigarh.

Similarly, a 32-year-old youth whose report came positive, belongs to Siswan and works in Chandigarh. Health teams led by Dr. Dilbagh Singh visited the homes of the two patients and kept them in quarantined for 17 days. Dr. Dilbagh Singh said that 20 positive cases have been reported under Boothgarh out of which 11 patients have recovered while 8 patients are undergoing treatment and one patient has died.

He said that the situation in the area was under control and the teams of health department were closely monitoring the situation. Dr. Dilbagh Singh told the patients that there was no need to panic about the disease. With good nutrition, stress relief, and other precautions, the patient recovers quickly.
