SC YUVJAN SAMAJ APPRECIATES CM’S ANNOUNCEMENTS

The All India Scheduled Castes Yuvjan Samaj has welcomed the announcements by the state government to provide financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh each to the families of those who died due to the consumption of spurious liquor.

Hailing the announcement made by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday in Tarn Taran, the NGO said this fulfils the demand made after reviewing the situation post hooch tragedy.

It’s good that the CM along with PPCC chief Sunil Jakhar and Principal Political Secretary Suresh Kumar today met the affected families and enhanced the compensation to Rs. 5 lakh, besides giving a job to one eligible member of each family, and also extend the benefit of the insurance scheme to them. Those who have lost their eyesight will also be given a compensation of five lakh rupees.

Yuvjan Samaj state president, Gopi Chand Sander said that by making the announcement during the visit, CM and PPCC chief Sunil Jakhar proved that the government is friendly to the common man.He said that the CaptainJakhar’s meeting the families of the victims was much required since the families were living below the poverty line, their kutcha houses need facelift. The Congress government has full sympathy for the families and NGO is confident about the govt’s assurance on punish the accused.
