HARYANA EDUCATION MINISTER CONTRATULATES TEACHERS ON TEACHER DAY

On the occasion of Teacher's Day, while congratulating and extending greetings to the teachers of the state, Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Kanwar Pal said that behind every successful person, there is a teacher who always inspires them to walk on the right path.

In a message issued here today on the eve of Teacher's Day, Mr. Kanwar Pal said that every year on September 5, the birth anniversary of former President and educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated all over the country as Teacher's Day.

The Education Minister urged all teachers to take new initiatives to ensure the implementation of New National Education Policy-2020 that has been announced after three decades. He called upon the teachers to contribute in building a self-reliant and modern India.

Mr. Kanwar Pal said that the new National Education Policy will not only connect our students to their roots, but also give them full potential to become global citizens as in this policy while emphasizes is on innovation it also refers to setting up National Research Forum (NRF), which is an important step.

“The more emphasis is laid on research work, the more we will be able to take the country ahead in the global competition”, the Minister said.

He said that a teacher is also known as a nation builder. The ancient tradition of Guru-Shishya in India is still alive today which is not found anywhere else in the world. 

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala has congratulated the teachers across the state and hoped that they would continue to perform their duties with loyalty and dedication. In his message issued here today, the Deputy Chief Minister said, "On the occasion of Teacher's Day, I extend greetings and best wishes to all the teachers. By celebrating the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as 'Teacher's Day', we pay our respect to him.” He said that ‘Teacher’s Day’ is dedicated to teachers who play an important role in the lives of every student. Teachers are the nation builders and they inspire the students, fulfill the desire of their students to acquire knowledge and hone their hidden potential and talent. 

Mr. Chautala said that on this auspicious occasion he wishes all the teaching community who have make invaluable contribution in building a strong and prosperous nation by giving competent guidance to the students and preparing them as the best human resource of the nation.
