CBI REGISTERS A CASE AGAINST ADDITIONAL DCP, DELHI POLICE AND CONDUCTS SEARCHES

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case on a complaint of one Mahavir Singh against an Additional DCP (DANIPS) Sanjay Kumar , Delhi Police on the allegations that the said Addl. DCP used the credentials and documents of another person in similar name to get selected in DANIPS.

The case has been registered under Sections 419, 420,  467,  468,  471  of IPC. Searches were conducted on Wednesday at the premises of said Addl. DCP at Delhi which led to recovery of certain documents. Investigation is continuing.

In a complaint against Sanjay Kumar S/o Late Sh. Om Parkash, Grand Son of Surat Singh R/o V.P.O. Singhu, Delhi, has said, he had joined as an ACP (DANIPS Delhi Cadre) in the year 2011 and has been recently promoted and posted as Addl. DCP at Shandara District, Delhi. He had got this government service on the credentials and documents of some other person of the same name in which the date of birth and educational qualification is different.

The case is being investigated by  Mr. Chander Badan Ojha, DSP, CBI, ACB.
