    Awareness seminar was organized on World Heart Day under NPCDCS program at CommunityHealth Center Wahabwala.

Medical officers Dr. Subin Inder Kaur and BEE Manbir Singh said that World Heart Day is being celebrated with 'Use Heart to Beat Cardiovascular Disease'. That is, by keeping the heart healthy, it has to be used to defeat the diseases of the heart.

Subin said that the main purpose of celebrating the day is to make people aware and motivated to pay attention to their heart and keep it healthy. According to a report, every fifth person in the country is a heart patient. According to the World Heart Federation, about 18 million patients die each year from heart disease. There are 4 main causes of heart disease like eating an unnatural diet, consuming tobacco, physical activities or not exercising, and excessive consumption of alcohol is controlled, then 80% of premature deaths from heart disease can be prevented.

Manbir said that people who have high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity etc. are more at risk of heart attack. It’s better to keep the heart healthy by reducing weight, taking healthy and nutritious supplements, not consuming tobacco, cigarettes and alcohol or other drugs, not taking stress or stress, reducing the use of salt in food, and exercising and yoga daily can go.
