Vice-Chancellor, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Professor Samar Singh congratulated the students of Afghanistan on the completion of their postgraduate degree and hoped for their bright future.

Professor Samar Singh called upon the students to use the knowledge gained while pursuing this degree from the University for the welfare of farmers of their country and also share their experiences with the students of their country. Moreover, he urged them to motivate the students to pursue higher education from this University.

While sharing their experiences the students said that the University atmosphere was very conducive for studies and the behaviour of the students, professors and others was also very encouraging owing to which they felt like being part of a family here. They further shared that the University provides teaching, research and growth facilities which are at par with the world-class Universities. They felt that the University administration had been very supportive even in difficult circumstances arising due to the Corona pandemic.

Dean, Post Graduate Studies and the Control Officer of the Grain Project, Prof. Asha Kwatra said that this project started at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar in collaboration with Michigan State University of America in 2018. A total of 14 Afghan students have been registered in the postgraduate and PhD programmes so far.
