BARODA BYE ELECTION: LIQUOR VENDS TO CLOSE FROM NOV.1 TO NOV. 3 WITHIN THREE KM RADIUS

In view of the upcoming Baroda Assembly bye-election in Haryana to be held on November 3, 2020, ‘Dry Days’ will be declared in the entire Assembly Constituency along with adjoining areas within the radius of 3 Kilometers.

In pursuance of the provisions of rule 37(10) of the Haryana Liquor License Rules, 1970 and also in accordance with clause 2.13.1 of the Excise Policy, 2020-21, the liquor vends falling within the radius of 3 Kilometers of the areas adjoining to the area where Bye-Election to Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be held, will remain closed during the period that is 6.00 pm of November 1, 2020 to 6.00 pm of November 3, 2020 and on the counting day that is November 10, 2020 till counting is over.

Besides this, the restrictions prescribed in the excise laws on possession and storage of liquor in unlicensed premises should be vigorously enforced in order to ensure that storage of liquor by individuals is drastically reduced during the aforementioned period.
