AAP MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan, while addressing the House on the three draconian laws, slammed state Punjab Advocate General (AG) Atul Nanda.

Speaking against the anti-people Union Agriculture Bills, Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that efforts were being made to take the big fight of farmers to the Supreme Court of India.

He said "I have no doubt about the ability and capability of Advocate General, but the government should look up for his substitute as he had not won a single case in favour of Punjab. The AAP MLA said that to get the farmers out of the cultivation of wheat and paddy cycle in Punjab, the Government in the saddle should ensure guarantee of procurement of pulses and oilseed crops at MSP.

Meanwhile AAP MLA Sarabjit Kaur Manuke said that it was the statutory obligation of the government to protect the rights of farmers as well as working masses. She said that when the big corporate houses, like the Ambani-Adanis entered Punjab, the interests of landless working masses and farmers would be at stake. Manuke demanded a blanket ban on the purchase of land in Punjab by outsiders. Garhshankar MLA Jai Singh Rouri also spoke on the occasion.
