INCIDENT TAKE PLACE NEAR HIS HOUSE, INJURED WAS COMING OUT FROM GURUDWARA IN SECTOR 22D, WHEN RAISING ALARM ACCUSED FLED AWAY,INJURED ADMITTED TO SECTOR 16 HOSPITAL

A young man wearing Cap and mask shot at food and supply department employee Amrik Singh returning from Gurudwara Sahib Sector 22D here on Sunday at about 6 AM. When raising alarm accused managed to escape wheress the injured have been rushed to Sector 16 General Super speciality Hospital. Amrik Singh received bullet injuries in his right thigh. On receiving the information of the incident, the higher police officers rushed to the spot and recovered a bullet shell from the spot and started investigating the case.

The investigation so far has revealed that the accused was already there in ambush. At 6:00 AM in the morning, Amrik Singh entered the gate of the society after returning home from the Gurdwara located in Sector 22D, where he visiting daily in routine, the accused fired him. The bullet hit Amrik Singh's right thigh. When he raised alarm, accused fled away.

Accused tried to shot him another fire, but due to raising alarm he managed to escaped. Police investigation has recovered an empty shell and a cartridge near the gate of the society. The shell point looks like a .32 bore pistol. Panicy residents of the society gathered after the shooting. Police investigating the incident whether the incident took place due to arguments between the  victim and the accused over the sampling as the victim has been assigned of duty of taking samples of various products.
