PFWS PRESIDENT PRATIMA SHRIVASTAVA INAUGURATES CANDLE PRODUCTION UNIT AND SKILL CENTRE

Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS) is very popular for its designer and aromatic candles and with the approaching festival of lights, the demand for PFWS candles & diyas rises several folds.

Mrs. Pratima Shrivastava, President PFWS inaugurated the Candle Production Unit and Skill Centre-VIII at Welfare Centre New Police Lines (NPL). The unit has been recently renovated with modern utilities for the ladies providing them with improved working environment. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Rakesh Bansal, DCP 1st Bn DAP, Team Leaders and other senior officers of Delhi Police.

Mrs. Pratima Shrivastava, President PFWS in her address congratulated the entire team of NPL Welfare Centre for the modernized Candle Production Unit which is expected to instill new enthusiasm among the PFWS ladies to soar new heights promoting entrepreneurship and self-reliance. She also reiterated that whereas Covid-19 has halted welfare activities in various organizations, but Delhi Police has pioneered in amalgamation of technology and welfare activities and continues to tirelessly serve its families through online platforms organizing online classes, webinars, competitions, etc.

Mrs. Kiran Bishnoi, Team Leader, NPL welcomed the President PFWS and other guests. A cultural show was also organized showcasing amazing talent amongst all age groups within police families residing at NPL Police Colony.

PFWS has taught the ladies, who are otherwise not so familiar with technology, to utilize technology in a proper and monitored way. She has also expressed the idea of opening a Beauty Parlour exclusively for ladies of police families and run by trained police family members which is going to be set up at NPL.

A prize distribution ceremony of Khana Khazana Cookery Contest & Online Summer Camp, 2020 was also organized.Mrs. Mamta Gupta, Team Leader, NPL presented the Vote of Thanks.
