The team of Operation Cell reported to have arrested a young man with a revolver and six live cartridges near the Hotel JW Marriott in Sector 35. The arrested accused has been identified as 30-year-old Bhir Bhan, a resident of Machhli Kalan, a village in Mohali. A case under Arms Act-25-54-59 has been registered against him in Sector-36 police station.

Police said, under the supervision of Operation Cell's Inspector Ranjit Singh, the police team during nakabandi near Hotel JW Marriott in Sector 35, a youth stopped the said young man on suspicious, when searched one revolver and six live cartridges were recovered from him.

The revolver recovered from the accused had an NP FG-11164 revolver .32 MK11 field gun Kanpur- 2007 mark. When the police asked him to have a license to keep the revolver, he could not show it. At the same time, police investigation revealed that Bhir Bhan does farming and he had a license from Punjab while he was roaming with a revolver in Chandigarh. After which the police took took his revolver and registered a case against him and produced before the distt. court, where court sent him in judicial custody.
