The Haryana Vigilance Bureau (HVB) reported to have been arrested ASI Mohammad Iqbal and Head Constable (HC) Dharmendra of Mundkati police station in Palwal district for taking bribe of Rs 80,000..

A spokesperson of the bureau said here today that Kunda Colony, Nuh Dah Munni had lodged a complaint with the bureau that police officials demanded bribe on removing allegation against her son Ismail and two relatives under various sections of the Haryana Village Protection and Promotion Act.

He had demanded Rs 80,000 in lieu of dismissal of the accused in the case. The Bureau took stern action on the complaint and in the presence of Duty Magistrate Rohtash Kumar, arrested the two policemen for taking bribe and registered a case and further investigation is underway.
