A medical team of Chandigarh Administration visited our Club and conducted COVID-19 examination of  staff out of which 8 staff members found to be COVID positive. They all have been quarantined immediately and bar and restaurant have been closed till the polling day (29 November). Entire club has also been sanitized on Thursday by the health department workers.

Returning officer of Chandigarh Press Club election Mr. Sanjiv Shukla said for polling day we have taken some measures which are described below :-

*Senior citizens need not stand in queue they can straight away walk into the polling area and cast their vote immediately.

*There will be proper social distancing as the panel members have been asked not to approach any member physically.

*Panel members/contestants have been asked not allow voters to stand near their kiosks for long time.

*Arrangements have been made for sanitizers and masks.

*There will be no parties by panels/contestants inside the club premises till polling day. Victory party which is held after the counting is over has also been cancelled inside the press club premises.

*Bar/restaurants will remain closed for full day on 29 November (polling day). Panels/contestants/supporters will get only tea and biscuits during the day.
