Sector 17 Police in a major success reported to have nabbed thief accused Gaurav alias Gora (25), resident of H.No.920 of Ramdarbar Phase-1, who had steels diamond and gold jewellery with 10 thousands cash  from Sector 22B on the night of 31^st December, 2020.

Mr. Sandeep Kumar who runs the shop  from SCO 1110-11, Sector 22B and resident of H.No. 1925 in same sector lodged a  complaint to Police that on December 31, at around 7.50 pm, he was at his shop and his wife and son also came to the shop. When they reached after closing the shop on the night, the cupboard inside was open. When he checked his belongings inside the cupboard, there were two diamond rings, a gold ring, a gold chain and 10 thousand rupees missing from there.

During interrogation  police recovered 20 stolen mobile phones, steels from poor people sleeping in the different markets. Police also recovered  diamond and gold jewelery ,  steels from Sector 22 on the night of Dec.31 last. On investigation, it reveals that he is involved in cases registered in various police station in city.  

On his complaint the SHO of  Sector 17 Police Station Mr. Ram Rattan Sharma, Sector 22 Chowki Incharge Mr. Naveen Kumar and ASI Avtar Singh reached the spot and  started investigation.

On first day of New Year police on inputs nabs the accused who was roaming near Sector 23 Sanatan Dharam Mandir and got police remand for one day.
