TWO PROCLAIMED OFFENDER HUSBAND WIFE DUO, INVOLVED IN THE CHEATING BY IMPERSONATION ARRESTED FROM LUDHIANA

MISAPPROPRIATED THE PUBLIC MONEY ABOUT 2.47 CRORE.

Mr. Rajinder Jaipuria had purchased his property No. B-158, Sector- 31, NOIDA, (U.P.) from his personal funds and savings in 2011. He allowed his younger son Anuj Jaipuria to stay with him on first floor of the house along with his wife and two minor children.

During mid-2018, officials of M/s Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Limited visited complainant’s house claiming that a home loan of Rs. 2,47,13,363/- was availed by mortgaging property No. B-158, Sector- 31, NOIDA. Apart from the complainant, Mrs. Jayshree Jaipuria (wife of complainant), Anuj Jaipuria and his wife Mrs. Sunita (Name Changed) were shown as co-applicants in the said loan.

Complainant came to know that his son Anuj maliciously and fraudulently used his previous address i.e. 6947/3, Kolhapur Road, Kamla Nagar, Delhi- 110007 in the alleged loan documents and affidavits etc. which he had disposed off way back in 2011. After preliminary enquiry a case vide FIR No. 193/2018, U/S: 420/467/468/471/120-B IPC, PS EOW, New Delhi was registered.  

Dr. O.P. Mishra,  IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police, Economic Offences Wing, said, during the course of investigation, documents submitted with the complainant lender bank were obtained and scrutinized. On perusal of the certified copies received from M/s Cholamandalam, the complainant is shown as applicant and his wife Mrs. Jayshree Jaipuria, his son Mr. Anuj Jaipuria (Alleged) and Mrs. Sunita (alleged & wife of Anuj) have been shown as co-applicants.

Signatures in the name of above four persons have been made on every loan document while complainant claimed that he and his wife (Mrs. Jayshree Jaipuria) never signed any loan document and their signatures have been forged by his younger son (Anuj Jaipuria) and his wife. Accused Anuj Jaipuria and his wife were absconding to evade arrest. Notices to the accused persons were sent on 19.10.18 through speed post but same received back undelivered as they had left the place.

Thereafter raids were conducted at the various possible hideouts of the accused but no clue about their whereabouts could be found.Hon’ble Court has declared accused persons as Proclaimed Offenders vide its order dt. 31.01.2020. LOC against both absconding accused persons were also got opened.

Accused person Anuj Jaipuria in connivance with his wife Sunita (Name Changed) hatched conspiracy and availed loan from M/s Cholamandalam wherein complainant (his father) is shown as applicant and Mr. Anuj Jaipuria (alleged) & his Mrs. Sunita (Name changed) (Alleged) and Mrs. Jai Shree Jaipuria have been shown as co-applicants. Signature for complainant and his wife Jai Shree Jaipuria were forged by the alleged persons.

Both the accused persons were arrested by the EOW team from Ludhiana (Punjab) in the afternoon of 6th Jan. Later on, they were produced in the concerned Court in Delhi on 7h Jan. 2021 and police remand of both the accused has been obtained. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
