BSF HANDED OVER SIX PAK NATIONALS TO PAKISTANI RANGERS IN AMRITSAR SECTOR

Border Security Force (BSF) in a good gesture reportedly hands over six Pakistan National to Pakistan Rangers on Saturday.

BSF spokesman in Punjab Frontier Headquarter in Jalandhar, said, on Friday at about 1700 hrs, BSF troops of 88 Bn BSF, Amritsar Sector apprehended six Pakistani nationals, while they crossed border and entered into Indian territory.

During questioning, it came to notice that they had crossed over to Indian territory inadvertently. Nothing objectionable was recovered from them.

BSF approached Pakistan Rangers on Saturday  and lodged protest on the matter. Thereafter, on request of Pakistan Rangers the said apprehended Pakistani nationals were handed over to Pak Rangers at about 1730 hrs, being inadvertent border crosser on humanitarian grounds.

Last year also, 06 Pakistan inadvertent border crossers were handed - over to Pakistan Rangers by Border Security Force, Punjab Frontier on humanitarian grounds.
