The two-day championship, which was organised by the Chandigarh Press Club  was concluded on Friday.Thirty-two members across the publications participated in the Inter-Media Table Tennis Championship held at the club premises. 

While giging the detail Mr. Saurabh Duggal, Secretary General,  said, Surinder Singh Rawal and Usha Singh won the men's and women's single's title, respectively. In the men's singles final, Rawal got the better of Sukhwinder Pal Sodhi in a three -set thriller. Rajesh Moudgil and Naveen Tyagi won the bronze medal each.

In the women's singles, Usha Singh clinched gold, while Richa Segha won silver. 

In the men’s veteran’s singles final, Sanjay Bumbroo got the better of Raj Rishi.

In the mixed doubles final, team of Barinder Saluja and Usha Singh edged out pair of Naveen Tyagi and Richa Sehgal.

In the men’s doubles final, team of Surinder Singh Rawal and Saurabh Duggal edged out pair of Sukhwinder Pal Sodhi and Arvind Saini.

Atul Nanda, Advocate General Punjab and also president of the Punjab Table Tennis Association, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony.

Results: Men’s Singles: 1. Surinder Rawal, 2. Sukhwinder Pal Sodhi, 3. Rajesh Moudgil and Naveen Tyagi.

Veteran men’s singles: 1. Sanjay Bumbroo, 2. Raj Rishi.

Women’s singles 1. Usha Singh, 2. Richa Sehgal.

Mixed Doubles: 1. Barinder Saluja and Usha Singh, 2.Naveen Tyagi and Richa Sehgal.

Men’s Doubles: 1. Surinder Rawal and Saurabh Duggal, 2. Sukhwinder Pal Sodhi and Arvind Saini, 3. Umesh Sharma and Rajinder S Nagarkoti, 3. Naveen Tyagi and Rajesh Moudgil.
