MOHALI DISTT. CIA STAFF NABS TWO DRUG TRIFFICKERS WITH HALF KG OPIUM AND 1920 DRUG PILLS

CIA staff police reported to have nabbed two drug trifickers, involved in smuggling of contraband opium and drug pills and supplying in different parts of the State.

SSP Mr. Satinder Singh said, the accused identified as Jasveer Singh alias Fauji son of  Sant Singh resident of village Basauli Police Station Lalru, presently residing at Flat No. 1365/3 Silver City Heights Zirakpur and Arun Kumar alias Annu son of Manoj Kumar resident of H.No.4 First Floor Modern Enclave, Baltana under Police Station Zirakpur.

Both the accused have been arrested with half kg. contraband opium and 1920 drug pills. They have been involved in drug trafficking for the last 2-3 years. Both the drug smugglers have been smuggling opium and narcotic pills from UP, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab to Mohali, Panchkula, Chandigarh and adjoining areas.   

The interrogation revealed that the accused Arun Kumar alias Annu had already been booked in two cases of heroin at STF Mohali and the interrogation of the accused Jasveer Singh alias Fauji revealed that he had previously served in the Army. He was shot back during the Kargil war and was sent back to the unit. He retired from the Army in 2006. He also said that he has been serving in  Chandigarh for the last three years. Police investigating.
