BOLLYWOOD DESIGNER ROHIT VERMA & MS. UNIVERSE INDIA 2016 ROSHMITHA HARIMURTHY UNVEIL 'BFW 2021'

In an endeavour to provide a platform to budding designers and models ‘The Belle Fashion Week (BFW) 2021’ was unveiled in Fashion & Lifestyle Exhibition ‘Paris Summer Spring Spree 2021'(PSSS) a 2-day showcase of 35 + designers, which began at Hotel Hyatt, here. 

  
The kick-starting of 'BFW 2021' was sounded at PSSS by holding a dazzling fashion walk with 5 female models & 2 male models. The fashion walk launched the concept of hunt for models and designers through BFW 2021. 

Apart from the fashion walk a press meet to share details of the events by those behind the concepts was also held. Ace Bollywood fashion designer Rohit Verma was present along-with Roshmitha Harimurthy , Miss Universe India 2016. It was announced in the press meet that the forms to apply for participation in BFW for both models and designers were also available on the BFW 2021 website. 

Rohit Verma, a renowned Bollywood designer said, "'BFW 2021’ will select ‘Mr. Beau India’ and ‘Ms. Belle India’ through a fashion week that will have 10 designers showcasing Indian looks and 10 designers displaying International looks. So ‘BFW 2021’ will give a chance to emerging designers from pan India to be seen & discovered. The Grand finale will see the launch of my collection BANJAARA too."  

Speaking on the occasion, Digvijay Jamwal, Founder & Director, ‘The Belle Fashion Week (BFW) 2021’, said, “We have envisioned BFW 2021 for the fashion industry to thrive and flourish. Our aim is to find new talent across India and soon overseas. We have an association with Ms. Yukta Mookhey (Miss World 1999 and Bollywood actress) as Our Guest of Honour who will crown the winners , Mr. Rohit Verma (ace Bollywood designer) who is also present today, as fashion designer for the show and Ms. Poonam Dhillon (Bollywood actress) as jury member, making this event all the more star studded.” 

The grand finale of BFW 2021 will be held on May 30, 2021.

“It’s not about becoming a new person, but about becoming who you were already meant to be”. With rightfulness to these words, ‘The Belle Fashion Week 2021’ will also have a special round for Transgenders for the very first time. The winner from this round will be entitled and crowned as ‘Belle Queen’. 

Roshmitha Harimurthy , Miss Universe India 2016 said, "‘BFW 2021’ is a fashion runway and talent hunt pageant that highlights creativity, sustainability and future prospects for its contestants. The pageant is aiming at identifying super models and creating an international path for contestants through this event. It will provide a gateway to aspiring models to debut in the world of fashion." 

Meanwhile, designers from across the country gathered under one roof to take part in the two days' fashion fiesta 'Paris Summer Spring Spree' in Hotel Hyatt, Chandigarh. 

Ms. Rajvi Saini, from Red Rose Events & a Curator of PSSS said, "The collaboration between BFW and PSSS provides synergy to the events as both are related to the fashion industry. BFW 2021 will get an opportunity to hunt for designers through PSSS, which will help mentor the ambitious designers who wish to reinvent the design world.” 

Ms. Nazia Shaikh, the other Curator of PSSS said, "During the exhibition the designers are showcasing their bespoke collections of spring-summer. Pure handloom sarees, hand embroidered intricate dresses, party wear, wedding collections, home decor items, footwear, jewellery, skincare products etc is on display." 

The exhibition is at Hotel Hyatt, Industrial Area Phase I, Chandigarh till Saturday March 13, 2021 from 11 am to 8 pm.
