PLAYERS EXHIBIT THEIR BEST ON DAY 2 OF THE TRIDENT PCA CUP 2021- TRIANGULAR CHALLENGER SERIES

On the second day of the league matches of TRIDENT PCA CUP 2021- Triangular Challenger Series Star studded PCA Punjab XI team took on Rest of Punjab-GREEN at Amandeep Cricket Academy, Amritsar. In a one sided match PCA Punjab XI completely pulverized Rest of Punjab-GREEN.

  PCA Punjab XI today won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first PCA Punjab XI posted a decent score of 240 runs for 9 wickets in stipulated 50 overs. Opener Prabhjot Singh and Abhijeet gave the team a steady start with a partnership of 59 runs, Abhijeet was caught out when his individual score was 28 (48) by Harry Dhaliwal of a ball by Taranpreet Brar in the 17th over. Prabhjot Singh’s 79 of 107 balls (7 fours and 2 Sixes) was the highest scorer. In addition Akul Pandove’s innings of 44 of 46 balls ( 3 fours and 2 Sixes ) Tej Preet’s unbeaten 30 of 34 balls (1 fours and 2 Sixes) helped PCA Punjab XI in pilling up 240 runs. For Rest of Punjab-GREEN bowlers Karan Chawla & Taranpreet Brar took 3 wickets each.

Chasing the target batting of Rest of Punjab-GREEN witnessed a complete collapse and the entire team folded up in 28.2 overs putting only 87 runs on board. For PCA Punjab XI Gurnour Brar was the pick of the bowling for his startling spell of 4 wickets for 7 runs in 6 overs. Tejpreet and Akul Pandove clipped in with 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Prabhjot Singh of PCA Punjab XI was declared the Man of the Match for his excellent batting.
