TRIDENT PCA CUP 2021- TRIANGULAR CHALLENGER SERIES

In the ongoing TRIDENT PCA CUP 2021- Triangular Challenger Series, on the fourth day of the league matches PCA Punjab XI took on PCA Rest of Punjab Green at HDCA grounds, Hoshiarpur. 

 PCA Punjab XI won the toss and elected to field first. PCA Rest of Punjab Green lost two early wickets of Uttejit Hans & Arjun Singh in the 2nd and 7th over reducing the team to 26 for 2 in the 7.3 overs. When things seemed to be difficult for the batting team, a cautious batting knock by Naman Dhir 56 runs of 84 balls cemented the innings. Ashish Ghai 31 runs, Harjot Dhawan 57 runs of 69 balls, Prashant Ahlawat  34 runs of 38 balls were the other prominent contributors helping their team reach a total of 202 runs for loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. PCA Punjab XI bowler Gaurav Chaudhary bowled well and captured 3 wickets giving away just 16 runs in his 5 overs spell. Gurnoor Brar, Abhinav Sharma & Akul Pandove chipped in with 1 wicket each. 

In reply, electrifying knock of unbeaten 129 runs in 111 balls (with 14 fours & 4 Six) by opener Abhijeet,   well supported by Aarush 21 runs of 17 balls, Ramandeep 18 runs in 28 balls and Gaurav Chaudhary unbeaten 27 runs in 37 balls helped their team reach 203 runs for loss of 3 wickets in just 33.2 over’s , thereby wining the match comprehensively by 7 wickets.
