SYNDICATE OF DRUG PADDLERS BUSTED, SIX ACCUSED PERSONS ARRESTED

 A BOLERO CAR BEARING ODISHA REGISTRATION NUMBER USED FOR TRANSPORTATION OF CANNABIS SEIZED CANNABIS WAS CONCEALED IN THE ENGINE AND SURROUNDING CAVITIES TO EVADE DETECTION. 40 KG OF FINE QUALITY CANNABIS RECOVERED.

With the arrest of six accused persons namely (1) Ram Chander Palei S/o Dibakar Palei R/o Tulam Tula, Post – Betra, PS – Vasudevpur, Distt – Bhadark, Odisha Age 25 Yrs (2) Sudhakar Nayak S/o Baidhar Nayak R/o Village Ratanga, Post – Betada, PS Vasudevpur, Distt – Bhadark, Odisha Age 36 Yrs (3) Sharat Das S/o Bhaskar Das R/o Village – Chandanpur, Post – Bheuda, PS Vasudevpur, Distt – Bhadark, Odisha Age 40 Yrs (4) Abhimanu Das S/o Baidhar Das R/o Village – Chandanpur, Post – Betada, PS Vasudevpur, Distt – Bhadark, Odisha Age 37 Yrs and then receiver (5) Sani S/o Arvind R/o A-5/53, J J Colony, Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi Age 33 Yrs (6) Suraj Sahay S/o Ram Prakash Sahay R/o H.No. 46, Budh Nagar, Gali No. 2, Loni (UP) Age 32 Yrs, the staff of PS RK Puram, South West District Police has busted a interstate drug cartel and recovered 40 Kg of cannabis (Ganja). A Bolero car used in transportation of ganja has also been recovered. They used to smuggle Ganja by concealing the packets in the engine of the car.

INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST :Keeping in view the direction of senior officers to curb the street crime, area patrolling and picket checking were enhanced.

In this process on dated 30.03.21, a team of PS R.K Puram was on area patrolling and carrying out checking by putting barricades on Vivekanand Marg. At around 9.35 PM, one Bolero car bearing registration No. OR-02AC-5326 which was coming from Munirka towards Sector 1 Red Light, R.K Puram applied emergency brakes 50 meters before the barricades and immediately tried to go reverse.

During interrogation it revealed that they used to pick the cannabis from the field of Malkangiri, Odisha. Accused Sani and Suraj are local receiver who used to buy contraband from the above person and used to supply it in the area by converting packets of small quantity. They further disclosed that they are transporting the contraband by road as operation of trains is not much due to present scenario.

On suspicion, Police team comprising of SI Surender, HC Naveen, HC Sachin, Ct Paramveer, Ct Praveen and Ct Shivam swung into action and succeeded to stopped the vehicle for checking. During checking six above said persons were found in the vehicle.

Mr. Ingit Pratap Singh, IPS, DCP, south west distt, said, during uring search of the vehicle several packets of Ganja were found concealed in the engine and surrounding cavities. Immediately senior officer were informed and necessary legal procedures were followed. On weighing a total of 40 Kg Ganja wrapped in different packets was recovered. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 91/21 U/s 20/25/61/85 NDPS Act was registered at PS R.K Puram and all accused persons were arrested.

Accused Suraj is permanent resident of Loni and studied up to 8th standard. The financial condition of the family is not good, hence he started supplying ganja to earn quick & easy money. He is previously found involved in a NDPS case in Odisha and has served in Jail for about 18 months in 2014.

Accused Sanni is permanent resident of Bhalswa Dairy and studied upto 7th Class. Mothers of Suraj and Sanni are real sisters. To earn easy money he started assisting Suraj in drug supply.

Accused Ram Chander is the driver by profession he took the bolero car on rent from its owner who is resident of Kyonjhar Odisha. He is a skilled driver and has an experience of long driving. To earn easy money he agreed to transport the contraband.

Accused Sudhakar Nayak is permanent resident of Bhadrak, Odisha and drives a TSR to earn his livelihood. He has studied up to 12th Class. He has started the supply to Delhi to earn easy money. He is previously found involved in a land dispute case and remain in jail for 3-4 days in the year 2015.

Accused Abhimanyu Das is a driver by profession and studied up to 7th class. He has poor financial condition which has led him to be in this crime.

Accused Sharat Das is also resident of Bhadrak and is illiterate. Earlier he used to work in the fields in his hometown but later indulge in the crime to earn easy moeny.

Recovery -(1) 40 Kg of Ganja.  Bolero Car No. OR02AC-5326 used in transportation of cannabis.
Further investigation is under progress.
