For Chandigarh girl Samaira Sandhu falling in love with cinema and movies was a deliberate obsession. Once deep diving into it, she immersed herself fully to eck out a name for herself in Bollywood and to make her city proud which she loves equally adorably.

Chandigarh is where I come from and the city's ethereal poise, calm and serenity has impacted me profoundly so much so that no aspect of my career is detached from its colours, says Samaira, who has just got her biggest break in Bollywood, with a glint in her eyes which is impossible to miss.

Yes, Inspector Avinash is the love of my life, my biggest crush, she says with a palpable excitement to talk more about her high-profile Bollywood venture. Without being egged on any further, she herself starts narrating the lead up to grabbing her biggest break.

For one who has already made a mark in the South Indian Film Industry, Samaira has just finished shooting for an untitled Telegu Movie. Directed by acclaimed writer Deen Raj who is known for works like Preminchukundam Raa and Eeshwar, she plays the main lead role, starring opposite Telugu hotstar Nirroze Putcha, who is also an ace national level Lawn Tennis player.

It was the culmination of my years of hardwork that I was chosen for the web series in which Randeep Hooda plays the lead. On condition of not divulging the storyline, the spunky Chandigarh girl declares, 'the web series will take the online filmy genre to a new higher level,".

Ask her about her own role in eagerly awaited Inspector Avinash she confides loudly. 'I am donning the role of a journalist, and that's all I will tell you so you go watch it and find out more, she says with a lively smile. That's not all. Samaira also is assisting series writer and director Neerraj Pathak to learn the technicalities of the film making in detail.

I thoroughly enjoyed shooting for the project. It was shot in beautiful locations in the forests around Silliguri and Sikkim. It felt like in heaven, she says.

"Though it’s been a week since I came back from hectic 60 day shoot, but feels like my soul is still there with the lovely north eastern region.” The movie has been shot through the Lens of Famous Cinematographer Jaypal Nimma Reddy.
