PANCHKULA DM ISSUES SOP ON RAMNAWAMI CELEBERATION IN TEMPLES

Keeping in view the religious importance of the festival of Ramnavmi to be celebrated on April 21, 2021 and the ongoing exponential surge in the cases of Covid-19, District Magistrate, Sh. Mukul Kumar has issued guidelines/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be strictly adhered to by temples situated in the district as precautionary and preventive steps.

In an order issued in his capacity as Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority, Panchkula, Sh Mukul Kumar said that the generic preventive measures including simple public health measures like social distancing (2 gaz ki doori) wearing face cover or masks need to be observed by all the times. Apart from this, proper crowd management in the parking lots in corridors, by duly following social distancing norms would be done.

Deputy Commissioner said that no mass/collective Aarti, congregation or gathering for prayers would be allowed. Only individual prayers would be allowed. Also, physical orderings like Prasad, distribution or sprinkling of holy water etc in and around the religious place would not be allowed. Sanitization of the temple premises would be done at regular intervals by the temple management.

Sh Mukul Kumar said that provision of regular washing of hands of devotees and thermal scanning be ensured. The Civil Surgeon, Panchkula has been directed to do random sampling of Rapid Antigen Test of devotees. He said that respiratory etiquettes like the practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing of used tissues properly would be strictly followed. Besides, spitting should be strictly prohibited and corona appropriate behaviour would strictly be observed.

He said that so as to prevent overcrowding, the temple management has been advised to make arrangements for the devotees in such a manner that not more than 20 persons are allowed at a time to offer puja/worship in the temple on the occasion of Ramnavmi Festival-2021. The temple management could use coupons for regulating the entry of devotees.

He said that the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Panchkula, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Panchkula, concerned Sub Divisional Magistrates, Duty Magistrates-cum-Incident Commanders and Police officials on duty would ensure strict compliance of these orders. Any violation of these instructions/orders is liable to criminal prosecution under section 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act, 2005. Besides, legal action under Section 188 of IPC, and other legal provisions applicable would be taken against him.

SDM PANCHKULA AND KALKA AUTHROISE TO ISSUE PERMISSION ON MARRIAGE AND RASAM BHOG

In pursuance of order issued by the State Disaster Management Authority, Haryana, District Magistrate, Sh Mukul Kumar has directed that Sub Divisional Magistrate, Panchkula and Kalka will issue the prior permission of marriage and death/bhog/rasam kriya gatherings in their respective jurisdiction/sub-division.
