To encourage Tokyo Olympics qualifier of the state, the Punjab Government would hold get together with them on June 18. This program will be presided over by Punjab Sports and Youth Services Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi.

Divulging further, Special Secretary-cum-Director Mr. D.P.S. Kharbanda informed that this event would be held virtually in view of the Corona pandemic and 25 Olympics qualifier and their parents would participate through video conferencing from the offices of Deputy Commissioner concerned.

Mr. Kharbanda said that all the Deputy Commissioners have been asked to make arrangements for video conferencing in their offices. He said that all the District Sports Officers have already been directed to ensure that the Olympic qualifiers do not suffer any paucity in their preparations for this world level tournament and to provide immediate assistance to the players by informing the headquarters, if required.
