CHIEF MINISTER ANNOUNCED AN INCREASE IN THE RATE OF DEARNESS ALLOWANCE FOR EMPLOYEES AND PENSIONERS

DEARNESS ALLOWANCE TO INCREASE FROM 17 PER CENT TO 28 PER CENT, ON THE LINES OF GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, INCREASED RATE WILL BE APPLICABLE FROM JULY 1, 2021, 2.85 LAKH EMPLOYEES AND 2.62 LAKH PENSIONERS OF HARYANA TO BE BENEFITTED BY THIS

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today announced to increase the rate of Dearness Allowance for employees and pensioners of Haryana Government from 17 per cent to 28 per cent on the lines of the Government of India.

This increase in Dearness Allowance will be applicable from July 1, 2021.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that this increased Dearness Allowance also includes the Dearness allowance payable from January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021.

The spokesperson said that this will benefit about 2.85 lakh government employees and 2.62 lakh pensioners of the state. Also, this will put an additional burden of about Rs. 210 crore per month on the state exchequer.
